Lancers-in-Action Again Recognized By Dear Soldier Program and iPods For Wounded Soldiers

SOURCE: Malden Catholic High School

The Dear Soldier Program and iPods for Wounded Soldiers recognized the Lancers-in-Action for their loyal and unwavering support of soldiers who have been wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Director of the Program, Mr. Paul Cardello, and his team recently visited soldiers in at Walter Reed Hospital in Maryland and delivered some of the over 600 letters MC students wrote.

Cardello told the Lancers that the soldiers (some of whom are away from their families from months and even years recuperating) were so happy that their sacrifice has not been forgotten. Mr. Cardello has invited Lancers in Action to visit the soldiers in Brockton, MA with the letters we will be writing for them this year. Malden Catholic Lancers in Action feel humbled and privileged to be a sponsor of the Dear Soldier Program.

Any member of the Malden Catholic community is invited to write a letter of appreciation to our soldiers. Letters may be dropped off in Campus Ministry.
